Barnaby's Fish Restaurant

Amazing food! As soon as you walk in, the smell of fried fish hits you, in a good way! Restaurant is nice and clean, as are the toilets although the gents' can get a bit cramped if there are more than two people using the facilities. Easy to place an order; walk up to the counter, tell them what you would like, you're given a ticket with your order on, present it when you go to pay. The food came piping hot and the chips were very clean. I was a little disappointed with the size of the fish but this was made up for how nice it tasted. I also ordered a plate of chips for another member of my party and it was well worth the money (£4.50) as the plate was piled. We visited on a lunch time and it was quiet when we got there (around 12:30) but it soon started getting busier. They also do takeaway and the prices for this are very decent. Also on offer are an array of pies, battered and normal sausage and fishcakes. All in all, if you're out for the day in Stratford upon Avon and you fancy fish and chips by the canal, give Barnaby's Fish Restaurant a visit. It's well worth it!

Barnaby Fish Bar is a solid spot for classic fish and chips. The portions are generous, the fish is nicely cooked with a crispy batter, and the chips are fresh and tasty. Service is quick and friendly, and the place has that proper traditional takeaway vibe. Good value for money and great for a simple, satisfying meal.

Fantastic! Banaby’s Fish Restaurant is a true gem. The food was incredibly fresh, every bite was full of flavor and perfectly cooked. I've eaten in many, and in my view this is the best Fish & Chip shop in the country. Very generous portions, super tasty food served in a welcoming clean comfortable spacoius dining environment. We chose to eat outside on their street tables to enjoy the sun. Just fab. Staff are relaxed and super friendly. Worth every penny. I'd highly recommend this!

Visited as staying in the area. Absolutely gorgeous fish and chips, great portions, almost too much food! Crisp batter on the fish and sausages and gorgeous chips. We ate in and the restaurant is clean and staff friendly. Have your meal then a walk along the canal. Perfect end to our day.

Visiting Stratford for the first time and went into this place for food, the fish and chips were really fresh and tasty! One of the best I've had, the staff were welcoming and friendly. Nice atmosphere and really enjoyed my meal. I will definitely be back again
